On tap in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a nice gold, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is strong floral and citrus hops, with a nice undertone of vanilla, oak, and some toffee in the finish. Sweet, with a significant bitterness. Medium to heavy body, sticky, a little astringent, with a clean finish. This is a very nicely done IPA, and the barrel conditioning works very nicely. The hop bitterness is well balanced by the bourbon sweetness, and the aromas layer well. Highly recommended!
