Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. An attractive reddish copper colour with a thin white head; malty aroma with some caramel; an earthy bitterness with a sweet malty caramel body and some red fruit; then more earthy bitterness to finish with a hint of spice and some orange marmalade. Solid and satisfying.

Cask at local spoons. Dark orange / copper coloured pour with a sticky greyish cream head. Aroma is sweet nutty malts, grainstore, hints of treacle, berries. Flavour is composed of medium sweet nutty malts, apple, grain husks, tangy raisin. Palate is semi sweet, medium light bodied, OK cask condition. Lingering brown sugars and a hints of orange marmalade.
