Draft at brewery. Malts make themselves known in the aroma and taste, more so than usual for the style. Hops carry the back end through to a long lingering bitter finish. Hazy medium amber with small head. Not your typical big hoppy NW IPA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A nise citrus nose. The flavor is big citrus, oranges, toffee. Very light and clean. Good.

Crisp hazy orange coloured body with a bright bronze glow and a nice three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of piney and especially grassy hop scents with some noticeable malt and alcohol, but the hops are central here. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop flavours dominate with a great balance of malt, some light alcohol and a hint of dry notes - but the grass and herbal flavours really come out, in a good way. Aftertaste shows mostly hop bitterness, but the beer is perfectly balanced and the malt flavour is also noticeable. Overall, a great IPA with more of a focus on grassy and herbal flavours - great to sample! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 12-April-2013 for US$5.19 sampled at home in Washington on 23-June-2013.

Tap at Bend Brewing Co, Bend, 23/05/13. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is hops, grass, caramel, bitter orange. Taste comprises floral hops, mineral notes, orange pith, hint of grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Decent enough IPA.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a slightly hazed dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with a citrusy hops character and flavors of roast malt and caramel in the background. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent IPA overall.

Draft - Hoppy grapefruit aroma. Clear orange with a rich lasting head. Grapefruit dominates all the way through along with a bitterness that doesn’t linger. Very crisp, nice served on the cool side.

On tap at the brewery. This beer has a great aroma and the Cascade is prevalent. Deep amber with some haze and a white, well carbonated head. A nice taste, but the hops are not there as much as hoped and the malt has a bit of a kick midway through the palate.

Cask at the GBBF 2011. Amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of figs and other fruit, grass and biscuit. Sweet toffee and caramel flavour with grassy hops. Lots of bitterness but not the most exciting hop character
