Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark reddish-brown with minimal off-white head. There’s biscuits, figs and plums in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet and juicy but with a little underlying sharpness. Flavour has malts, plums, biscuits and cola. Becomes a little watery after a while but sweetness lasts into the finish. This is reasonable if a little bland.

An afterthought getting home from the Pendle Beer Festival, couldn't resist. Pretty much like the legendary JW Lees Plum Porter in design and taste.
