Bottle from local bottle shop. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, coffee, cocoa, and dark chocolate, with a hint of liquorice in the finish. Moderate sweet flavour with a pretty bitter finish. Body is medium, lacks some creamy fullness. Nice beer, pretty good aroma, flavour and body don’t quite match the aroma.

Tap @ Morshuis Albergen. Black. Roast, chocolate and a hint of coffee in the aroma. Malty roasty flavor with coffee and a hint of chocolate. Very tasty, dry, maybe a bit thin.

Bottle courtesy of tricksta_p, cheers Patrick. Pours almost black with a large frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, liquorice, nut, dark fruit and rich fruit cake. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, spft carbonation. A decent robust porter.

330 mml bottle as part of the European Local Swap 2/2017, many thanks to RW80 for this one. Tasted on the 10/06/2017. Black colour with a medium creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, intense black chocolate, liquorice and toffee. Taste is roasty with strong presence of dark chocolate and coffee. Light sweet and bitter finish. Next one please!

Bottle [thanks to RW80] @ home. Opaque black color, medium to full sized light brown head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, lightly some chocolate. Taste malts, some chocolate but not that outstanding, dark malt bitter, bitter. Decent body, medium carbonation. Ok beer.

Draft at Delft Beer Festival. Near black with a thick creamy tan head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, coffee notes, caramel, licorice and toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and heavy bitter long into the finish leading to an almost metallic quality. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Decent, but way too bitter. [28/08/2016]
