Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7
Cask at The Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. A deep cherry colour, almost black, with a loose cream head; berry fruit aroma (I didn’t spot the mandarins); and a pleasantly sharp woody bitterness in the mouth with some smokiness, but rather thin; then finishing with a lasting bitterness and a touch of licorice.
