Bottle form China and shared at Benny’s Place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, boozy alcohol, The flavour is liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, slightly oily, herbal, light coconut, liquorice, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle picked up in Albuquerque. Black with a light brown head. Big dose of bourbon at first whiff. Further sniffing picks up vanilla, chocolate and lime. Taste is moderate sweet with coconut lingering at the back. Boozy though, too boozy for my taste, with a wallop of raw alcohol burn at the finish. Full bodied, mild carbonation. A less boozy version of this would appeal more.

Bottle: Very dark brown pour, nearly black, with a thin brown head. Nose is deep bourbon barrel with dark fruits, roasted malt, espresso, and vanilla. Sweet up front, there is a little earthy wood bit, before a lingering sweet bourbon barrel end. Light coconut lingers too. Silky and smooth.

Panda at home, big thanks to the Wingmane, 01/12/2022. Pitch black with a dirty tan head that veers edgewards. Nose is big on bourbon, sticky dried fruits, boozey tunes, molasses, dark malts, chocolate. Taste comprises chocolate, booze, coconut shavings, dark malts, light spice, charr, mellow roast, good bourbon nip. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming rising boost. Solid well balanced BA impy.

The aromas are dark malt, cocoa with hints of coconut and molasses. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, on the sweet side with the cocoa and dark malt coming out more maybe a hint of coconut. Full body and good carbonation. A little coffee in the finish. Nice beer.

From bottle to glass. Fantastic bourbon and vanilla aroma. Slight cocoa. Black with minimal brown head. Complex flavors of whiskey, chocolate and sweetness from the coconut.

I enjoy my imperial stouts, all the right ingredients in this one. The ABGB snifter is being utilized, I lift the cap and pour. A brown as dark as you can get before reaching black with a ring of tawny brown bubbles. A rich smell, dark chocolate fudge, coconut and pecans. A drink finally and it is mighty fine. All the ingredients from German chocolate cake, heavy with the chocolate of course, coconut, dark cherries, pecans, liqueur, vanilla and some booziness. Prairie tends to be proud of their products price wise, this one justifies it.
