A hoppy kettle sour with something for everyone! Wort was inoculated in the kettle with Lactobacillus and allowed to intentionally sour. The wort was left to condition for roughly 48 hours and then boiled prior to fermentation. Hops are well represented on the nose representing tropical fruit, dank, resin, with a burst of citrus and sour showing as well. Southern Star, from South Africa, was the lead hop in this beer and was complimented by German Amarillo T45 - Stone Fruit, and a touch of Australian Enigma. The flavor ranges from a swing to the hoppy side, then finishes tart and sour. The best of both worlds, enjoy!

Poured a cloudy, dark orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was big citrus, with a noticeable tangerine twist, light grapefruit. Sour notes are slightly evident at first wiff. Tart, sour. Light juice with a splash of acid to round this out.
