16oz Can from Hardywood West Creek. Poured a hazy golden orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was tropical fruits, with some light malt. Flavor was pleasant tropical fruits, light grapefruit. Pleasant citrus, light resin finish with a touch of alcohol on the finish.

Perfectly clear golden coloured body with a bit of a deeper, copper tint and a small-ish one centimetre tall, just off-white head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of grass, light astringency, alcohol, cleanser and a touch of citrus, with grapefruit zest the strongest. Medium-bodied; Deep citrusey and resinous flavour at first shows a soft malt note, smooth sugars and a light cleanser-like and dry citrusey component that has a light grassiness at the end. Aftertaste shows the proper balance of citrusey and lightly grassy hops and a smooth, yet pungent malt backbone that leaves some nice soft sugars, a faint glimmer of alcohol and a bite of resin all noticeable, yet slightly muted and somehow easy-drinking. Overall, a nice and soft-ish beer that tastes much closer to seven per cent alcohol than eight, and while it isn't horribly citrusey, fruity or juicy, this still comes across as a 'new school' IPA versus anything dank, pungent or bitter. Nice to try from here in Virginia and while not my favourite, a good enough beer to grab if they have it when you are already out. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 21-August-2020 for US$4,22 sampled at my house here in Washington on 31-August-2020, just ten days later.
