Bottled. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spicy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, caramel, and hops, leading to a bitter finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is greasy hoppy. Grapefruity. Bitter, crisp hoppy. Lingering fruity, bitter and solid hoppy finish.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, reddish amber colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Funky yeasty and fruity hoppy aroma, a bretty touch of bubblegum, notes of red currant, lingonberry, peach, herbal overtones on the crossroads of dill and sage. Taste is dry hoppy, minimally soapy and peppery, moderately sweet, juicy fruity basis, intertwixed notes of red berries and yellow stone fruit, a bretty bubblegum touch. OK. This one was originally entered as Imperial/Double IPA and has been corrected to Belgian Strong Ale. Since "Belgian Style" is in most cases synonymous to ’Belgian yeast fermented’ and Double IPA isn’t really an autochthonic Belgian style, you could likewise speak of Double IPA-Style Belgian (Strong) Ale; just as well you could substitute "style" with adequate linguistic forms of "interpretation" or "inspiration" and vary their reference to "Belgian" and "Double IPA". Whatsoever, underrated in my opinion, due to stereotyped style thinking.

330ml bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett - Slightly hazy orangey amber body with a fluffy lasting white head. Nose is heavy on the hops alongside some fruit, sweet malt, yeast and booze.Nice robust mouthfeel with an estery fruit, lightly sweet finish. Not bad at all.
