Thin head with some minor lacing. Slightly cloudy blonde. Smells of malt, slight berry. Taste very malty, hay, grass.

(On tap at Barhop, Feb 13 2014) Pours a hazy dark orange-yellow with a small white frothy cap, some lace left behind. Aroma is floral, a bit spicy/herbal, some wheat, and fruity (light bubblegum and citrus). Flavour has this interesting fruity/floral/herbal character, lightly spicy, must be the sea-buckthorn berries because I’m not really familiar with it. There’s a little clean sweetness, some grainy character and a bit of a powdery yeast finish to it all, pretty dry and lightly bitter as it lingers on the tongue. Body is light to moderate and carb effervescent, very much on-style. One of the more interesting takes on the wit that I’ve had, the sea-buckthorn seems to bring a unique character but not one that’s completely in opposition to the traditional character of the beer. Very drinkable and refreshing.
