14/04/2012 Domus Birrae (330ml bottle). Ambrata carica, riflessi arancia, lievemente torbida (qualche lievito in sospensione), schiuma biancastra sporca. Aroma complesso, dolciastro e acido, lieviti, malto, caramello, ciliegie, vaniglia, note acetiche che vengono fuori pian piano. In bocca è dolce all’attacco e moderatamente acida, acetica, di grande complessità e carattere. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Gran bella birra.

Bottle courtesy of Manuele at Makke, grazie signore! This one was more complex than a typical barleywine, still sweet but the sweetness was softened by vanilla and oak overtones. Very nice.
