Bottle from Lambiczoon, Milan; vintage 2008, 5 years old; batch 14/08, bb 31/12/2015
Hazy dark amber color with small head. The aroma is strong, woody, a bit sour, fruity and cheesy; later, some moldy notes and very light acetone. Full bodied, smooth, with low carbonation; good malt flavor; at this gravity it still has some residual sugars; the acidity is moderate; more than other Sour beers, this one has a nice fruity presence (apricots and red grapes); low bitterness; balanced final, a bit astringent, and luckily without acetone.
Very good beer.

2008 bottle from Domus Birrae. Cloudy orange-amber, nice thick lace. Tangy fruit and vinegar nose, citrus, cherry, light carmel. Sweet-and-sour flavor, cherry, caramel, nuts, pepper, spice. Refreshing. Cleanly sour. Peppery, bitter finish. Nice move from sour to bitter. Well balanced and very drinkable. Love it.

Säuerlicher Beginn, stark an ein Flemish Sour erinnernd. Dann holzig, zunehmend pappiger werdend. Leichte Süße zum Ende, nun leider sehr pappig. Herber Nachgeschmack mit brennender Säure. 10/11/7/9/8/9

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of wood, brettanomyces, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, brettanomyces, caramel, and malt, leading to a tart finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque amber with an off-white head. Sweet’n’tart acetone aroma, really paint thinner here, a little berries too. Rich body, lowish carbonation, sweet caramel and then this shitload of acetone. Quite chemical. Some warming alcohol in the finish. 130612

2008 Vintage bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Best before marked as 31/12/2015. Pours with a hazed, medium copper hued body with a small off-white head that doesn’t last long. Aromas are tart, currant, lightly waxy, wood, wine, earthy, lactic, lightly acetic, berries, vinous. Flavors are tart, vinous, red wine, mild acetic. Quite sour, floral, waxy funk, red berries, currant, mildly rustic. Medium to fuller carbonation, medium-light bodied with an acetic finishing bite.
