Bottle at tasting. Golden pour. Tasted right after the 1 year variant. Aroma is less hoppy than the 1 year, but it still has some mandarine and of course some caramelised malt. Taste is really different, with more soft smooth white wine, grape, mandarine, oak, bitters and a vinous mouthfeel. Nice one.

At Maakun’s. Bottle shared by Maakun, thank you very much! Hazy golden with white head. Citrus, lemon sour, yeast, spices, basil, fresh coriander, something like white pepper, yoghurty, nectar, floweriness, cow parsley. Light sweet, over medium bitter, quite strong actually, tart yeasty sourness. Very fruity finish, ’almost ripe’ peach, orange pulp in yoghurt. Bonus complexity, very nice!! With sneezy hops.

Bottle shared at home. Slight hazy golden with big off white head. Pineapple, lots of Brett notes, some straw, flowers, soft yoghurt notes, gooseberries, grassy, fresh French herbs, German hops, lime juice, light biscuits and caramel. Under medium sour and light bitter. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Very good, though maybe a bit too much yoghurt notes. Still very complex, interesting and enjoyable.

Bouteille 50cl, BB 03/2016.
