Although it calls itself "International Pale Ale", this delicious and aromatic ale is not hoppy enough to fit the profile. We are US importers of the beer and working with the brewery to rebrand Aurea as "Iberian Golden Ale" - light, bright, superbly aromatic with strong notes of green guava, ripe melon, muscatel grapes with creamy yet prickling effervescence. Delicious Ale but not an APA or an IPA. Available in USA through Shelton Brothers distributors in bottle and keg.

Bottle from Zombier, Málaga
Hazy blond color, with generous head. The aroma is harsh, very green, grassy; followed by cheese, manure and ammonia. The mouthfeel is slim (but, like in other beers from Regia, there may have been a refermentation in the bottle); light malt flavor, with strong bitterness; the hopping is more resiny than fruity, herbal too (rosemary).
Clumsy but enjoyable, with moderation and suspicion.

Bottle courtesy of Resenaren. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus flavor. has a fruity malty citrus hoppy finish.

Bottle. Hazy golden, off-white stable lace. Big perfumed american hop aroma, resiny citric. Medium to light body, sufficient chewiness, dry sparkly moutfeel. Minerally citric base flavour, hop resin, grass, apricots. Big fresh hoppy american style IPA with a very good balance.

33cl bottle. Golden beer with a large off-white head with a medium duration. Aroma as citrus notes, fruity, moderate malty and bittery. Flavour is slightly bittery at the beginning with some tropical fruits traces (mango), fresh and a final moderate bittery with a average duration. Carbonation is medium. Body is light to medium. Texture is oily.

Draught @ 2D2Dspuma, Carrer de la Manigua 8, 08027 Barcelona, Spain.Unclear - hazy medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, citra. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, peachy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110612]
