Amber colour with light haze. Aroma and flavour have some candy sweetness and dried tropical fruit. There's just a hint of funk in background which is quite interesting.

Copper colour, slightly hazy. Low soapy white head, receding pretty quickly and leaving no lacing at all. Aroma shows caramel malts, fruity notes (orange, slight banana) and a kiss of herbal hops. Taste is a little more on the bitter side than the smell suggested: sweet caramel malt base, slightest spiciness, fruity notes (mostly candied orange) and a very nice resinous/herbal/balsamic finish and aftertaste that leaves some kind of a refreshingly bitter aftertaste. Medium body, maybe a little on the light side for the style, low to medium crispness, again lighter than usual per style. A tad empty if compared to most similar beers, but it’s easy and quite refreshing and that’s not necessarly bad. Enjoyable

Bottle at Birratrovo, Como, April 2012
Hazy dark amber color, reddish, medium sized head. Bad aroma, yeast dust and soap. Good body strength, malt and caramel flavor, sweetish, off flavors of fermentation and some soap; light roasted nuts; bold bitterness, although less than the expected 70 IBU.
