Coming to you from 111 Archer Ave, “Mordecai” The Bomber is our first ever barrel-aged pastry stout. This 10.5% Imperial Stout was aged in Penelope bourbon barrels for 12-months, and then racked onto a whole lot of shredded and toasted coconut.
We have done a Hazelnut and a Vanilla barrel-aged stout before, but with balance. This stout however, is not supposed to have balance, rather a straight up coconut “Bomber.”

500 ml bottle, 1/1/23. 1st tick of 2023, had to go with my friends at AE for this one! Kicking off the new year on an unseasonably warm Sunday with some nice outside time, and now it's time to watch RedZone! Pours dark brown-black, no head or lace. Coconut and vanilla on the aroma with some wood, bourbon, and roast. The body is soft, and a touch thinner than expected. The alcohol is well hidden. Solid overall.
