Can, best before 8/20/26, drunk 2/14/26.
Bit of soy-tinged smokiness and various umami with definite cacao and not-overdone cinnamon. A bit of metal in there, too, unfortunately. Not-overroasted, but also certainly far from sumptuously malty. Peppery smoke and light roasted chocolate lingering.
Cacao nibs are noticeable and interesting while cinnamon is not overdone, and the soy and smoke adds good flavor and complexity, yet the body is so thin it renders all the positive aspects almost moot. I drink it, and I accept that this is the current state of most NA beer, but it's disappointing, as this would be so nice with some actual body and depth to it.

Pours dark cola into a willi. Tan head crackles and recedes to nothing. Sour malt aromas. Soft with dark prune and raisin upfront turning to chocolate in the medium length finish.

12 oz can from Athletic, via mail, 10/3/22. Pours a dark brown, tan head. Sweet chocolate, fire place embers, and some spice. Thin and a little weird. I can't decide how I feel about it.

12 ounce can from the brewery by mail order, 1/20/22. Dark brown large frothy brown head, good retention. Aroma of molasses, cocoa. Taste is cinnamon, molasses, cocoa. Thin. Nice.
