This beautiful hazy brew is loaded with protein-rich flaked oats and wheat along with a touch of milk sugar to give it a super soft, pillowy mouthfeel. The bulk of the hops were added post-boil and, in the fermenter, to lend their fruity aromas and flavors and juicy character as opposed to hop bitterness. We conditioned this one on Mandarin oranges and tangerines post-fermentation to complement the aromatics we were already picking up from a big, citrusy orange forward hop charge. We also added vanilla to enhance the creamy “milkshake” character of this easy-drinking, medium-bodied beer. This juicy brew is bursting with notes of freshly squeezed OJ, tangerines, orange creamsicle popsicles, vanilla ice cream, and citrusy hops.
