Crowler from the brewery, via delivery, 6/8/20. Reddish-orange color, light beige head, mold lace spots. Malt, dough, bread, caramel and toffee. Undertones of citrus and grass. Crisp and clean, almost snappy on the close. Quite flavorful, bright example of the style. Very well done. I think this style went from overdone (back when every brewery was making too much Oktoberfest) to now underdone (since no one wants malty beers anymore). Not that many American breweries are doing it this well. 7/4/8/5/16

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Orange brown color. Brief beige head disapates quickly. Earthy malt nose hints at toffee. Sweet toasted malt flavor has notes of toffee and pecan. Sticky mouthfeel. The kiss of Hallertauer Mittelfrueh hops balances this Marzen nicely.
