Just labeled as Saison in the tap room & their website, 7.8%. Orange-y gold, slightly jellied, tulip pour while waiting for our dinner table to open up nearby. Peppery, yeasty, apple aromatics. Taste is black pepper, lime leaf, earthy bitterness, starch, lingering mild pith. Spirited, crispy, quaffable. Great.

Draft @ Hickory Hops 2011, Hickory, NC. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a spicy malty yeasty finish with hints of citrus in the aftertaste.

Thanks to beastiefan2k for sharing this at Peter’s NY gathering - I love me some saison, but this one is underwhelming - nose of summery spices and tropical fruits - semi-tart citrus character up front, followed by a honey sweetness that is far too strong - finishes with bitter herbs and another attack of citric/acidic tartness - meh.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small white head over a hazed golden body. Aroma is grassy and citrus hops. A bit bready. Taste is hoppy and grainy with some honey. Water like mouthfeel with extremely lively carbonation.

1 liter swingtop from the brewery. Pours a hazy amber with a large head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of lemon zest, bread, yeast and peach. Taste is bread, caramel, citrus, banana, pear and apple. Full bodied.
