Served on draft at the Michigan Summer Beerfest, 2010, as part of RBSG festivities. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Malty and fruity aroma with nutty notes as well as toffee and apple. The taste is caramel, stone fruits, faint nuts and hops. Bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a cloudy amber color with a medium thin and creamy off-white head that recedes slowly. Patches and strings of lacing. The aroma is malty with some hops and a hint of smoke. Medium body with flavors of smoked malt, caramel and hops. Touches of sweet fruit as well. The finish is malty with a mildly bitter hops aftertaste that lingers. Pretty good all around.
