Pours yellow orange white head from bottle. Citrus aroma. Some lemon herb and then lots of bitterness. Too blunt

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria cask ($6): Pours a light colour for an IPA, with a white head. Aroma is floral, slightly citrus, with a light malt backing. The taste is perfectly balanced hoppiness with the mild malts. Bitter, but not too much. Floral and fruity the hops are. Nice aftertaste. The front starts strong, but after that one is lead to some pretty good flavours. This is a quality IPA and my first experience with Devil’s Backbone.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, wheat and a spicy finish. The taste is wheat, citrus, spice and herbal, almost perfumey notes. Medium bodied. Nice beer.
