tap at mikkeller bar. pitch black, smooth brown head. Aroma is dominated by coffee. Also some roasted malts. Dry. Flavor is licorice, same sourness as in a smoked, roasted malts, dry. Faint herbal notes. Not that well balanced. Lots of flavor though

Draft. A pitch black beer with a huge dark broen head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, brewmash, cereal, some hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, brewmash, and liquorice, leading to bitter finish.

From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malty and salty liqourice. Dense. Thick dark malty and solid liqourice flavoured. Smooth. Dark and rich liqourice. Very subdued sweetness coming through. Nice liqourice and slight sweet finish. Liqourice starts sticking to the tongue. Liqourice candy in a glass. Unique.

On tap. Pours black and opaque with a small light brown head. Plenty of raisins in the nose and a slight tartness. Full-bodied, plenty of anise, raisins and a light tartness. The licorice notes get more pronounced the further you get into this beer. Ends dry with hardly any bitterness. If a Stout it’s certainly unusual. 190611
