On tap at Ølfestival 2011. It pours a black body topped by a big, dense, tan head leaving lacings. Roasted, chocolatey aroma with vanilla hints, a touch of ashtray and a little bit of salty licorice. Roasted, coffee-like flavor with burnt malt notes and a little sweetness. Fine bitterness towards the end. Full-bodied, dry and lighlty warming. Dry and roasted finish. A tasteful beer indeed. 110528

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Dark black, small head. Striking aroma of whixky and licorice. Full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Aniseed and tarry islay whisky - Illeach springs to mind. salty finish. One of the better of the oaked imperial dark stuffs.

KØ11. Black colour, good brown head. Good vanilla aroma, also a little fruit which seems out of place. Sweet liquorice flavour, a little paper in the finish. OK alcohol to balance. Probably strong, but tastes mild enough.
