Gravity dispense at the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13. Light black with a thin tan head. Nose is roast malt, burnt toffee, blackforest gateux. Taste comprises roast malt, dark chocolate, light fruit notes, touch of coffee. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. A more than decent porter!

Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate. Tangy malt with a very unpleasant burned taste. Trace of fruit before a neutral finish. Don’t mind toasted malt but hate this burned taste. Drain pour.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has malt, berries, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and elderberries, as well as lighter notes of roasted malt and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish.
