Clear copper and peach coloured body with a beautiful orange and light amber tinted glow and a smooth, single centimetre tall tan head on top. Aroma of curacao, honey, coriander seed, yeast, breadie funk and a larger dose of pure candy sugar in the mix as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive sweetness around the edges with some peaches, full oranges, light yeast and bread notes and ending with a touch of soft fruits like apples and pears, but this is all very mild. Aftertaste shows sugars, light bread and malty notes with a hint of unfinished yeast and a touch of ever so light alcohol noticeable, but this is very small. Overall, this is in an incredibly mild and subdued beer, but that is most likely due to ~4 years of aging this puppy. Soft around all the edges, but especially in terms of malt and even more so - alcohol. There tastes like this beer contains perhaps 5% abv, maybe even less with no harshness nor malt pungency, and drinks like a soft belgian 'single' or even a lighter APA, this one really muted out over time. Nice to try and especially after aging it for so long! I sampled this corked and caged 75 cL bottle purchased from Charleston Beer Exchange in Charleston, South Carolina on 19-April-2015 for US$14,79 soon after my second daughter was born, sampled at home in Washington on 07-January-2018 just after my first son was born!

From a 75 cl corked and caged bottle. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of tropical fruits and candy sugar. Bitter finish.

Keg at Beer Run, 4/23/15. Clear golden, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of bready malt, candi sugar, yeast, apple skins. The taste is yeast, spice, doughy malt, oak, citrus ring, bubblegum. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering spice.

Pours slightly hazy light copper color with off white head. Fruity and floral aroma with some caramel. Fruity and flowery flavors with some dough and sweet caramel. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Decent, but not a typical Belgian tripel.
