Pours bubbly, transparent copper with a foamy, off-white head. Scent of caramel, malt. Taste is a bit grassy, woody, with a slight peppering. A little herbal bitter at finish. Decent....oh, and you’ve gotta love the goat on the label.

Well I got excited when I saw this and bought 3 bottles. I was less excited when I drank one. I wold never call this a bock but an "american dark lager" which is fine enough because I like those, but this is middling for the style (not rating to style). Light brown cola or root beer cola, fizzy head, spotty lacing. Nose is restrained with light notes of caramel and just a hint of ash. Flavor is lightly sweet, with caramel, mild dry roast, and not much else. Clean finish. Hops to balance.

Light brown with not much head. Has a light caramel aroma. Light body and almost fruity. Light caramel. Like a decent American dark lager. Scores points for being a drinkable macro dark - like the old Molson bock beer, only smoother and better.

This beer is a dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roasted nuts and malts. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, nuts and a touch of resiny hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12oz bottle pours clear mahogany with garnet edges and light colored tan head. The mild aroma is earthy, a mix of prunes, cherries, figs and beats as well as a touch of dark roasted malts. The taste has dark roasted malts, some chocolate malts, a touch of burnt malts and a dark fruity ester sweetness swimming around a modest sense of lagery yeast. Pretty nice brew.
