Minnesota Trip Beer #189. Keg at the brewery, 5/12/16. Clear dark red-amber, thin fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of sweet apple and mild caramel. The taste is tart apples and caramel. Medium bodied, lingering tartness.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep brown with a grayis brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy dark grains and dark bread with a decent amount of sweet apple. Flavor combines earthy dark grains and slightly tart apple with a decent amount of sweet apple.

Tap at Republic as "Stout Apple." Thin palate and on the dry side for a cider, with the beer adding the roasted grain character. Flavor is a little light and this seem thin in body, but it tastes ok.
