This beer gets its name from the independent spirit of our brewery and a desire to break the fall seasonal mold. We found some exotic hops, Mosaic and Galaxy, and brewed a beer we just wanted to drink. The result is a pale ale that’s quite sessionable, with tropical fruity notes and aromas of passion fruit and citrus.

Crisp, fairly hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, relatively fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of very bright and tropical fruits with some light pine, a touch of grass and perfume and ending with some light sugars and a bit of guava and oranges. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive biscuity and grainy malt flavour at first with a heavy hand of amarillo and more earthy and grainy hop flavourswith a touch of grass near the end. Aftertaste shows the pure biscuit flavours, a bunch of yeast, a larger dose of more earthier, mushroomy and oatmealish malts with a high bitter quality from the hops without too much complex characteristics. Overall,a relatively potent and pungent APA with some nice tropical fruit notes and quite a big earthy quality that shows well. Nice enough to sample, but not worth going way out of the way for or trying to find. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Food Lion in Onley, Virginia on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 27-January-2018 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington on 30-January-2018 just three days later.

12 ounce can from Wine Warehouse. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of orange-pineapple juice and pale malt. The taste is bitter, dry pineapple, pale malt and a bit of canniness. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

$1.95 can from Wine Warehouse. Pours hazy golden with only a dusting of a head. Heavy hop aroma - lots of citrus peel, pine, flowers. Taste is a bitter black tea with grapefruit peel, light tropical fruit, light caramel, and light toast.
