This is an imperial version German style Alt beer. The beer is a full bodied Ale that is well hopped, with a surprising balance between bitterness and a nutty/malty sweetness overlaid by subtle notes of chocolate and roasted malts. This wonderfully crafted beer has a beautiful dark copper color with a noble hop bouquet and a smooth finish.

Keg at the brewery. Clear dark amber, large creamy tan head, good retention. Pretty much no aroma... just the faintest bit of caramel. The taste is caramel, raisin, mild herbal hops. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

On tap yesterday at Draft Taproom. Pours clear brown. Flavor is slightly sweet caramels and floral hops, perhaps some rose hops. Quite tasty!
