Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. Looking quite nice this one, with its black body and moderate sized tan head. Oak notes on the nsoe, with roasted malts, coffee, licorice and a faint herbal touch. Licorice, herbal notes, coffee and roasted malts in the flavor, finishing roastd. Dry, yet sweetish on the palate. An unusual but nice beer. 110527

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Very black, minimal head. Fruity licorice aroma. Mid sweet with near full body. Oak and licorice are evident, so is unfortunately also a by flavour of melting plastic. Not at all close to the sherry version.
