Bottle. A dark brown beer, unclear, and topped by a small, dense, tan head. The aroma has licorice, some roasted malts and dried fruits. Hints of alcohol. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, along with licorice, roasted malts and dried fruits. Some alcohol warmth on the palate, more or less full bodied. Licorice and bitterness in the end. A quite pleasant one, although a tad too warming. 120525

Post CBC in the Hotel - ’Oh crap I have bought too many bottles again’! Opaque black beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light and soft with a crisp minerally trailing edge. Mild dark malts with a little lacto and licorice. Minerally crisp finish.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Pundarquartis for this bottle! Black with a small light brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, some liqueur, a bit of fruitiness, some alcohol and a bit of soy sauce. Sweetish flavor with roasted grains, soy sauce, some chocolate, a bit of alcohol and light acidity. Finishes a bit drier. Medium to full-bodied.
