Florals and some malt. Not a ton of Belgian vibe here. More of a malt forward beer. Murky amber pour with good head. Tangy end. Bottle.

Ridiculously hazy deep golden and even a light coppered coloured body with a nice two to three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh yeast, grasses, flowers, a touch of coriander seed, even some fruit around the edges and ending with a good whiff of pure lemon and citrus - very nice and incredibly aromatic. Light to Medium-bodied; Decidedly bitter flavour at first from some lower alpha acid, but still potent, European-based hops with a very dry and herbal side of things, but balanced well by the malt and showing a ton of character from the spices and deeper grassy notes near the end. Aftertaste shows a pungent and bitter floral and grassy aspect, but the yeast more than covers all that with complexity and depth and a tiny touch of sweetness from the finish makes this nice and robust, but the hops, yeast and dry spices make this one what it is, for sure. Overall, a very nice and incredibly flavourful and especially complex beer for the style with a great bite (for the ABV for sure) and perfect balance and one that is definitely worth trying to find if you can grab this! I'm a huge fan of the style, and this is categorised wrong - this should be a 'Belgian Ale', as it is almost perfectly displayed as a 'Belgian Single' in terms of smell, look and taste..but this sampled horizontally to a Hardywood Singel would be a nice comparison as both beers are remarkably good and quite similar! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 31-January-2018 for US$2,06 sampled at home in Washington on 24-April-2018.

Cat piss, skunk, and daffodil nose, pungent. Hazy amber, effervescent, medium yellow head, good lace. Grapefruit, orange lillies, funk, grain husks. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Solidly enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy yellow-amber, extremely fine particulate matter, viscous looking. Thin fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, yuzu, pale malt, hints of yeast. The taste is lemon, grapefruit, pale malt, a bit of nuttiness. Medium bodied, crisp, moderate lingering bitterness. A bit lacking in the "Belgo" department.

$1.95 bottle, Wine Warehouse. Pours medium gold with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity bubblegum, a little yeast, candy. Flavor is slightly fruity, funk, bubblegum, orange, minor earth. Fine, but nothing to knock your socks off.
