Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish tan head, about two centimetres tall. Aroma of dry mushrooms, some funk and a good deal of musty notes and a little roasty scent and some very light chocolate as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty flavour with pecans and peanuts at first showing a ton of toasted malt, some lighter grain and brown sugars and ending with some mellow but nice fruit flavour. Aftertaste shows mostly nuttiness with some deeper malt along with a touch of assertive grain and more hands-on complexity. Overall, a nice enough beer that shows some decent flavours and leaves the potential for some nicer toasted malts and a dash of very light bitterness. Nice to sample, especially on draught and now on the road back from England on 04-January-2018.

12 ounce bottle thanks to my friends E & S! Clear dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong nutty notes, brown malts, a bit of molasses. The taste is nuts, caramel, molasses, tea, plum. Thin, lingering bitterness, high carbonation. Solid.

Pretty tasty. Sharp nut like you stepped on a broken walnut shell. Roast and some dark chocolate. Caramel. Bittersweet finish. Bottle from mixed 12.
