Slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall just off-white head with large bubbles that fades very quickly, like soda. Aroma of syrup, resin, coconuts, light grain, a dash of yeast and some rather strong alcohol and pure caster sugar notes - the tropical fruit does come out, but not very strongly. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong tropical fruits that show bunches of pineapples, coconuts and a heavy yeast presence with a lot of leftover sugars, some lighter grainy malts and a good effervescence. However, after that, the flavours subside and there is only a warming alcohol and malt flavour with some lighter grain and herbal flavours at hte very end. Overall, a relatively straight-forward fruit beer that somehow has masked itself as a Belgian (I don't see it in any respect) ale with a lot of alcohol, but one in which goes down very easily and feels a touch less in ABV - perhaps around 8. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from K-1 Beer and Wine in Arlington, Virginia on 15-October-2017 for US$5,99 sampled just over two years later at home in Washington on 11-January-2020.
