Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. A minimal-sized off-white head sits on top of an unclear, golden-orange body. It’s lighlty smoked on the nose, with sugary malts and citrus-fruity hops. Citrus, pine cones, some smoke, sweetness and a touch of roasted malts in the mouth. Even though it feels sweetish in the flavor, it’s quite dry. Medium body. Roasted and bitter finish. Not much of a Dubbel in my book, but drinkable anyway. 110528

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Cloudy pale amber, small head. Mild buttery smoky nose. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Almondy yeast and caramelly lightly smoky malt. I was expecting this to be a train wreck of a beer, but it’s certainy not.

100ml taster from a bottle. Cloudy, blond body, patchy surface. Earthy malts to the nose added by hints of bacon. Smoked malts in flavour, notes of yeast. Dry ending. Just alright, without being great in any way (Ølfestivalen, Copenhagen 27.05.2011).
