Humler tilsættes ad to gange.

Bottle, at John Bull Ålborg. It looks black, but it's really dark brown with a mahogany tint, and a finger thick beige head. The aroma is roasted and lightly burnt, with notes of paler grains and prunes. Lightly ashy, followed by a very gentle touch of dark chocolate. It's medium bodied and rather dry on the palate, with a velvety carbonation. Roasted malts, coffee, some prune, raisin and dark chocolate in the flavor, with a lagerish touch. Long silky, roasted finish. Sure one of the most true to style and tasteful beers from Fur. Drinks very easily too. 230807 .

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours slightly hazy dark brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast. Bitter, roasty onset, giving way to sourish and estery notes. Roasty and bready aftertaste. Acceptable for the style, but I have tasted better schwarzbiers.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque, deep brown with a dense and creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Subtle aroma of sweet chocolate. Medium body, extremely soft on the palate. Gentle roast, slightly nutty. Perhaps a bit to the thin, but at least not flawed and infected. A smooth drinker. 200219

Draught. More or less black colour with a small beige head. Aroma is ashes, toffee, some roasted malts, coffee and mild rye. Flavour is very similar, with coffee and rye dominating and some herbal notes coming through in the finish.

Draught. Dark brown colour with a reddish hue. Thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. Hints of coffee. Taste is sweet. Light to medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes lightly bitter - not bitter enough for a schwartzbier - with roasted malts, a faint hint of licorice. This beer is not entertaining at a sufficient level for me. More please!
