Two Up Two Down

Fairly clear golden and light peach coloured body with a thinnish, one to two centimetre tall off-white head that fades quite quickly. Aroma of oodles of tropical fruits with some pineapple, light oranges, grapefruits, mangoes and even a dash of passionfruit noticeable with some good wheat and malt notes and a dash of tart scents on top a small amount of salt, as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Smart, briney flavour at first that shows the salt way up front that gives way to a tart and very fruity pineapple and coconut flavour along with some noticeable sweetness from said fruits, all with a good, but thinnish malt backbone from [seemingly] wheat and finishes with a good balance of all the flavours, showing malt, light hops, bunches of fruits and sugars with some tart notes and brine - very nice. Aftertaste is rich and robust with a lot of salt, malt, tart and fruity flavours and less of any hops or pure sweetness, but what is there is flavour-packed and rich, especially for the style, which is more of an 'imperial gose' should such a thing actually exist. Overall, a very nice offering that sort of bridges the gaps between styles, but shows nice flavours and complexity throughout. Good to sample and well-worth trying to find, especially in the hot summertime where a refreshing, slightly salty beer is nice, plus one with a lot of flavours and complexity makes it that much better. I sampled this pint-sized, sixteen ounce can purchased from Dominion Beer and Wine in Falls Church, Virginia on 22-October-2019 for US$5,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-July-2020.

Juicy fruit, sour salty edge

Tallboy can thanks to hershiser2! The last beer (I think) from another great IP trade. Hazy orange, thin head, fair retention. Aroma of grapefruit, salt, guava, pale malt, lemon. Taste is grapefruit, guava, apple, pale malt. salt. Medium bodied, juicy. Nice.

Pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is salt, tart grapefruit, light hair tonic. Flavor is tart grapefruit, guava, pineapple acid, cracker.

16 oz can shared. Slightly hazy golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of funk, lemon. Tastes of tart notes, lemon, stone fruit, tropical fruit. Light body with a dry finish.
