A richly coloured beer, sweetish when young but developing a lovely body when correctly conditioned in the cellar. Very smooth with some roast barley bitterness. Dark beer in the "old style" --very smooth and fruity with fine condition.

Gravity cask at Maidstone BF. Black, thinnish beige head. Some coffee, some tar, oily almost in mouth with dry finish. Quite chewy with a bit of caramel but overall too acidic
