Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 26/04/09. Near black in colour with a decent tan head. Roasted malts, spice and milk chocolate aroma. Flavour had much peaty roastiness, more chocolate, some oat creaminess and ginger spice, before a decent bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Deep black ... thick creamy off white head ... light malt nose ... smooth milky chocolate ... huge amounts of roast and dark malts ... some sort of spice. cask at bow 2014 blind tasting ... deep black ... thin tan head ... soft chocolate roast ... dark sweet chocolate malts ... soft fruits .. tart raspbery hints ... mellow maltss ... nice sweet chocolate 4.1 cask at bow blind tasting 2015 ... deep black .. thin tan lacing .. osft chocolate ... dark malts .. dark choc9olate nose ... sweet chocolate .. ligth vanilla ... mellow malts ... soft smooths chocolate roast ... very soft ... ligth coffee ... wonderfull balance 4.3
