Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head, all about a single centimetre tall. Aroma of nice robust passionfruit, hay, earth, light brine, a touch of wheat, coriander seed and some more light tropically notes with a touch of citrus fruits as well - very nice and potent in the nose. Light-bodied; Sharp wheatie and yeast note shows some light bretty and lactobilly notes with a dose of brine and then the fruitiness starts with passionfruit, guava and orange notes along with a dash of grapefruit and lemons towards the end that add an extra layer of tart notes. Aftertaste shows the brine and softer salt notes a touch more with some malt, wheat, yeast and light funk noticeable towards the end. Overall, a suprisingly nicely balanced and layered fruit-based gose that shows some good refreshing malt/wheat characteristics along with a dash of brett and lactobilly notes along with a bunch of tropical fruits and especially the fresh passionfruit flavours, all ending with a great brine and very refreshing note for the summertime. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Total Wine in Springfield, Virginia on 20-October-2019 for US$2,29 sampled at my house here in Washington on the first really hot day of the year, where temperatures almost made it to 100 degF, sadly, on 03-June-2020.
