Pint can thanks to Drake! Oh a black IPA - too few of these exist! Pours black! Large brown head! Orange and grapefruit peel, pine, roasted malt nose. Lovely! Roasted malt, pine, orange peel, smoked peat. Nearing stout, and I'm totally fine with that. This is good.

This is good. Well hopped. Dry with q moderate roasted malt flavor. Good. Heavy palate.

16 ounce can from some rando store outside of Hoops Brewing in Duluth. 1/4/20. Inky dark brown, appearing black in the glass. Large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, chocolate, citrus, dark fruit, mild smoke. Taste is roasted malt, smoke, nuts, mild hops. Medium bodied, drinks more like a stout and a BIPA. Good, though.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a grayish brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of earthy dark grains with a bit of wood and earthy pine. Flavor has dark grains and bread up front with some grass and pine growing through the finish.
