12 ounce bottle thanks to hershiser2! 10/5/20. Slightly hazy copper, large foamy tan head, food retention. Aroma of caramel, cinnamon, apple. Taste is caramel, toffee, cherry, nougat, faint marzipan. Medium bodied, low carb, a bit on the sweet side. Solid.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a beautiful five centimetre tall rich light brown head that is microfoamed and stays afloat for a really long time, that almost looks nitrogenated. Aroma of soft nuts, toasted grain, light caramelised sugars, a healthy dose of earth and some light rustic qualities. Light-bodied; Very nice and soft malts hit strongest with a big caramelised sugar and pure toffee bite with a light metallic and slightly bready and yeastie kick with a lot of smooth toasted malt notes on the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of smooth, yet intensely flavourful nuances coming out, with the grain, caramelised sugars and yeast the strongest - very nice and fairly robust, especially for the style. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer that hits all the right notes for the style, especially in terms of a lighter, roasted/toasted malt beer that is easy-drinking, full of flavour, low alcohol and still complex. I sampled this stubby, twelve ounce bottle purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 17-May-2020 for US$2,06 sampled at my house here in Washington on 11-August-2020.

Raw barley and a hint of roast, but almost like sunroasted flavor. Let's say tanned. Pours hazy maroon with decent head. Crisp and light tang in finish. Easy drinking. Bottle.

Strong pecan, soil, and sweet malt nose. Clear ruby brown, thin tan head. Hazelnut, pecan, Cracklin oat bran cereal. Medium body, easy carbonation. Drinks more like a good northern English brown.
