We don’t always haze. But when we do, it’s a tremendous combination of intense citrus hop aromas and a soft, smooth finish. No Fail Mode is a 6.8% hazy New England IPA brewed to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Rock Band at Reason Beer. With No Fail Mode, haze lovers can’t go wrong.

Reasonably hazy copper and deeper golden coloured body with a two to three centimetre tall tan head that's microfoamed and stays afloat nicely. Aroma of yeast, dough, bread, light citrus fruit, a touch of tropically fruit sweetness and a scent of mild flowers, but fairly subdued in the nose. Light-bodied; Strong doughy and yeastie flavours show at first with a big malt note along with some dryish, grassy notes and only a dash of the citrus side of things bringing out anything related to hops here - there is no bitterness or depth with them at all. Aftertaste is relatively structured and balanced with a doughy, yeastie malt note showing stronger than a herbal and barely noticeable citrus hoppy flavour with a subdued sweetness at the end. Overall, a decent, if that, unfiltered (this isn't New England at all) IPA that has a strong doughy and yeastie flavour more than anything, without any real complexity or range here. Decent enough to try, but if you're reading this, pass this one up and get something...anything else! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 23-October-2021 for US$4,29, canned on 28-July-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 30-October-2021.

Tap at Reason. Hazy gold. Nose is orange peel and juice. Flavor is very citrusy: orange peel and juice, floral hops. Good malt backbone. Nice.
