Bottle. I was really curious about this one. After all a Bavarian IPA. Well, it turns out it was nothing special. Gold in color with a three finger head. Aroma and taste were just like the description, hoppy, bready snd fruity.

Perfectly clear golden, amber and copper coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of pure hops with a German slant that doesn't show too much alpha acids, but a very crisp grassy and quite perfumey bite that does seem a bit like Saaz. Light-bodied: Very crisp grassy and herbal characteristics at first with a smooth, but drying malt backbone and some softer alcohol and light citrus fruits alonggi with a very subtle amount of sweetness noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows the grainy and dry malts `ith a light dose of bitterness from the hops and a subdued cleanser-like astringency along with some moderate alcohol noticeable at the very end. Overall, a dry and very crisp beer that definitely shows like an East Coast IPA or a slightly hoppier German Pils, as it has some definite lager feeling to it, mainly from the dryness and crisp malts. Not a bad option, but not worth buying a large pack - other Marzens (for the season) have more flavour and complexity, but of course, less hops. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant in Arlington (Arlington Ridge), Virginia on 22-August-2020 for US$6,99/six pack, given to me by my Dad on 30-September-2020 sampled just one day later on 01-October-2020 at my house here in Washington.

12 ounce bottle thanks to hershiser2, 9/21/20. Hazy orange, large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of floral hops, apricot, pale malt. Taste is dank, Noble hops. Pine, tropical fruit, green, pale malt. Medium bodied, moderate to strong bitterness. Nice.
