Bottle in Pozarevac/Serbia. Pours a bright cherry skin color quite clear with a minimal pinkish foam and decent retention. Nose: cherry jam, bread/crackers, crust, a bit yogurt, quite elegant with a dominant note of rye bread. Really nice. Mouth: it feels like this beer has superbly connected the English malty character a bit dusty, German Berliner Weiss funky lactic notes and the kriek Belgian style. 0.5 l bottle from ’Vormann Brauerei’, bottled in December 2016. Slightly hazy, dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, pinkish white head. Sweetish, sourish-fruity of cherries, raspberries, strawberry and a touch of red wine. Sweetish, moderately sour, rather fruity taste of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, redcurrant, some chocolate and maybe a touch of rye, followed by a short, moderately tart, quite dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly astringent and a little effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very interesting, lots of red fruits with a moderate acidity, bread is hardly detectable, would be even nicer if it was less dry maybe. Still really refreshing and easily drinkable.
