Cask at GBBF 2010. An unclear dark brown beer with lots of sediment floating around under a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, lemony hops, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus fruits as well as lighter notes of chocolate, leading to a dry and bitter finish. The body is light and I find the beer a bit boring.

From cask. Pours murky brown with a lot of sediment and with a dusty tan head. Aroma is liqourice and spiced. Fruity hoppy. Bitter and dark roasted malty. Distinct hoppy into a dry and bitter finish. Ends one dry and fruity.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Pitch black with a dense tan head; chocolate malt aroma; silky mouthfeel, dry and smoky with dark red fruits and dry chocolate finish. Excellent.
