The British ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is a staple in the pub culture in England. A traditional style, English Sporting Beer has a nice malt backbone that balances well with earthy, herbal, and slightly fruity English hops. This beer is about putting our differences from 1776 and 1812 behind us, and hoisting pints with your mates.

Can, from Trader Joe's, Chicago IL. Poured cloudy reddish dark amber with a small frothy light beige head, caramel malt aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter caramel malt taste with grassy hops, thin body, long medium bitter caramel malt finish. Nice ESB.

12oz can. Really leans into the English malt and yeast. Chewy caramel malts, balanced out by some decent hop richness. Aroma is different, really showcasing the malts, but something a pinch odd. Unique.

12 ounce can from Binny’s River Grove, 9/26/22. Mild gusher. Hazy amber, monstrous tan head. Good retention. Aroma of caramel, plastic, astringent. Taste is caramel, raisin, hints of plastic. A mess. It has some age on it, but age doesn’t infect a beer. High carb. Not good. New brewery! Brewery #2109, USA #1712, Illinois #78.
