On tap at Iron Bay Taproom in Marquette. A black or deep brown pour with a white head. Red grape and oak in the aroma. Flavors of red grape, oak, lightly tart, hinting at molasses. Pretty nice.

Deep reddish-brown body, essentially no head. Tart, earthy nose with fruit leather, apple, vinaigrette, and toast. Despite no head, the body has a spritzy mouthfeel, with notes of dusty oak barrel, grapeskin, apple, fruit leather, and vinaigrette. Finishes mildly tannic. Close to a Flanders red but not so fruity or tart-sweet. Elegant.
